Wakemans are assisting Developer St Modwen as Employers Agent and Cost Consultant on this major £46.5 m regeneration scheme located on a former brownfield site occupied by Network Rail in Derby. St Modwen Park, Derby will initially involve sitewide earthworks, flood embankment works and the provision of major infrastructure and roadworks to serve the site.
Phase 1 of the development involves the construction of the first four speculative logistics units of 39,000 ft², 54,000 ft², 79,000 ft² and 131,000 ft². In total an impressive 303,000 ft² demonstrating the current strength of the logistics and industrial sector and the shift from high street shopping to the convenience of on-line shopping to the consumer.
The scheme will include a fitness trail and outdoor meeting spaces for the benefit of businesses and locals and be built to the St Modwen Swan standard incorporating many industry leading sustainable measures.
