A slide for getting down the stairs — it would save a few seconds in the morning.
How do you spend your time outside work?
I’m a big sports fan, especially when it comes to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve had to budget for on a project?
An underpass — but that’s not strange. Well, this was an underpass for newts!
What project or client work stands out for you?
One particularly interesting project was coordinating the design and delivery of a multi-storey car park, complete with a footbridge link over the Midland Main Line into a high-security facility. It was a real exercise in precision planning and problem-solving.
What historic building would you love to work on?
Rockefeller Center — purely for the view at lunchtime.
What recent achievement are you proud of?
Completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge just nine months after ACL surgery was a real personal triumph.
