Insolvency Support Services
Building Condition Surveys & Snagging Reports
On appointment, Insolvency Practitioners need a fast and accurate picture of an asset’s physical condition. We carry out condition surveys and detailed snagging inspections, identifying defects, incomplete works and compliance issues, giving IPs a clear evidential basis to support their next steps.
Cost to Complete Assessments
Our Chartered Quantity Surveyors prepare independent cost to complete assessments for distressed developments, giving IPs, lenders and funders a robust, defensible view of the funds required to reach practical completion – supporting the critical decision on whether to complete, sell, or wind down a scheme.
Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAS)
We provide RICS-compliant Reinstatement Cost Assessments for insurance purposes, ensuring distressed assets are adequately insured and providing accurate valuations to support claims where required.
Employer's Agent / Monitoring Surveyor for Build Finish
Where a distressed asset requires an ongoing build to be finished, we act as Employer’s Agent or Monitoring Surveyor. We protect stakeholder interests, managing cost control, quality and progress from appointment through to practical completion, keeping IPs as a central point of contact throughout.
Distressed Project and Margin Recovery
For projects experiencing cost escalation, programme slippage or leadership breakdown, we provide rapid diagnostic review, recovery planning and targeted commercial intervention. We work alongside IPs and existing management teams to stabilise situations, restore delivery confidence and protect stakeholder value.
Forensic Investigation, Insurance and Insolvency Advisory
We support Insolvency Practitioners, corporate boards, legal advisers, insurers and law enforcement agencies with structured forensic investigations into financial irregularities, governance failings and contractual disputes.
Richard Lyndon, Executive Director - Insolvency Support ServicesWhen an asset or a project is in distress, insolvency practitioners need clear answers quickly. Wakemans brings together building surveying, cost management and specialist commercial expertise to give them an independent, evidence-based view of where an asset stands and what it will take to move it forward. That means fewer unknowns, faster decisions and better outcomes for creditors and stakeholders.
