What would you add to your dream home?
I’d definitely include a traditional oak frame garage — it’s a classic feature that never goes out of style.
How do you spend your time outside work?
I enjoy playing football and rugby, and I’m a proud supporter of Sale Sharks.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve had to budget for on a project?
A pool table — although that was for my own house extension and renovation, not a client!
What project or client work stands out for you?
Stewartby Brickworks stands out as a truly unique development. It involved a mixture of demolition and earthworks with added complexities around planning, ecology and even unexploded ordnance! It was a real test of coordination and problem-solving.
What historic building would you love to work on?
Thames House, which was used by MI5 in the 1930s. It’s got to contain some hidden and secret design features, and I’d love to uncover some.
What recent achievement are you proud of?
On a personal note, completing the renovation and extension of my own farmhouse was a real milestone.
