Mehran Salari is an associate director at Wakemans with expertise in project and cost management, primarily focused on the leisure and hotels sector. He co-manages one of the company’s key client accounts, delivering cyclical refurbishment projects across a leading hotel chain. His role spans both office and site responsibilities, from participating in client and team meetings to managing project delivery and reviewing works on-site to ensure quality and scope alignment.
Mehran has contributed to the successful refurbishment of nearly 10,000 hotel rooms in a single year. One standout project involved completing the refurbishment of a 400-bed hotel in central London at a rate of 10 rooms per day. A replacement pump for a freshwater spring running through a hotel basement.
What would you add to your dream home?
A cutting-edge cinema room, complete with multiple rows of plush reclining theatre chairs.
What historic building would you love to work on?
Edinburgh Castle. Perched on volcanic rock, it’s both a fortress and a living archive of Scottish history. Restoring it would mean working across centuries of military architecture, heritage and breath-taking views.
