What would you add to your dream home?
A swimming pool, as it would be great for unwinding.
How do you spend your time outside work?
I love walking and try to walk every day. I also enjoy watching my (now adult) children compete in a variety of sports, and I’m a big fan of DIY. There’s always a home project on the go to help me switch off.
What’s the most unexpected thing you’ve had to budget for on a project?
When helping Travelodge set up their internal maintenance team, we had to budget for items like vans, uniforms, tools and materials, definitely outside the typical scope of project costs.
What project or client work stands out for you?
Working with Travelodge has been a standout experience. The variety of projects has pushed me to apply core quantity surveying skills in many unexpected ways.
What historic building would you love to work on?
Sagrada Família, especially given my work in Spain. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime project that represents the idea of continuous creation and evolution.
