Travelodge continues to grow their portfolio of properties across the UK and opening their first hotel in Newark, Newark-on-Trent Travelodge.

The hotel is a part of the District Councils’ vision to regenerate Newark-on-Trent city centre with plans for a range of leisure and hospitality venues.

The Travelodge Newark building saw the transformation of the neglected and derelict Robin Hood Hotel, a grade II listed structure and work began with the part demolition of the building retaining its historic façade.  To avoid damage it was necessary to carefully demolish the rear of the building by hand once the façade had been supported. The remaining structure underwent conservation and repair prior to the development of the hotel.

The second phase of the project involved the construction of a 66 -room hotel linked to the historic frontage and the completed building offers the opportunity for commercial hospitality or shops underneath.
