Supporting the Completion of a £2.7m Residential Development in Administration Through Detailed Inspection and Certification Services
Project overview
Wakemans were instructed to evaluate the works deemed complete and provide a detailed and location specific list of all works not satisfactorily carried out. Data was collated electronically and provided to the Client on an apartment-by-apartment basis. The inspection also included the roofs, balconies, car park, corridors, staircases and all the external grounds surrounding the building so that an informed assessment of the incomplete works could be determined.
Following engagement with the funder and insolvency practitioner, Wakemans’ appointment was extended to provide Independent Certification services, overseeing the works required to complete the development. This includes certifying the satisfactory completion of the works and providing the necessary collateral warranties.
The initial instruction commenced in June 2026 and Project Completion is anticipated to be in January 2027 with Wakemans also overseeing the snagging works and closing out following snagging completion.
