Wakemans played a key role in delivering a newbuild community centre for the people of Southam. Key components of our roles in Quantity Surveying and Project Management included:
- Coordinating the reserve matters planning application and pre-commencement submissions, and managing the tender design process with the design team
- Preparing the tender stage cost plan, pre-selecting main contractors, and issued Design and Build tender documentation
- Managing the tender process and reviewing submissions, preparing a tender report to support contractor selection
- Administering the contract through construction, including site inspections, progress meetings, payment recommendations, and variations
- Ensuring planning, building control, BREEAM, and Section 106 obligations were met and reported on throughout
- Managing handover, defects liability, final account, and issued completion certification
