High Street, Bangor

Providing 12 flats for those at risk of homelessness

137 High Street Bangor was a vacant site that had been abandoned following the demolition of a previous structure neglected for some time, a tricky infill development located in the middle of the city.

Thanks to collaboration between Adra, Cyngor Gwynedd, and North Wales Housing this new build project located on disused land provides 12 flats for those at risk of homelessness. The building enables Cyngor Gwynedd to move forward to provide 12 homes with support as part of a wider plan to develop 83 similar units across the county to tackle homelessness as part of their Housing Action Plan.

The project was partly funded by the Welsh Government as they invested £1.2m.
