Project overview
Wakemans acted as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Employer’s Agent and CDM Advisor to help deliver Indurent Park, Tamworth, a portfolio of industrial units built to a BREEAM rating of “Excellent”.
On this project, there were a total of 4 phases altogether including 7 industrial units along with S278 works. These included creating a new junction and roundabout which took place in the second phase.
There were multiple challenges within this project that needed clear coordination and organised management:
- A significant oil pipeline ran through the site requiring both temporary and permanent crossings to be installed.
- A Services and Infrastructure tunnel was bored underneath the M42 in order to access water networks for a drainage point on site. This needed precision to avoid any disruption to traffic and congestion.
Sustainability and community impact were also key objectives within this project. A landscaped trim trail was created along with a fully fitted gym for employees and the local community. EV charging points were also installed.
